Lance Johnson
For over 25 years Lance Johnson has been a golf professional as both a high level playing professional at local, regional and international professional levels and as an instructor. After playing high school and amateur golf in the State of Washington Lance took his game to the highly acclaimed California State University, Stanislaus golf program. Lance finished his career at Stanislaus with the leading scoring average in school history along with three All-America Awards. He then took his game professionally to Canada and across the United States before turning to the club professional ranks.
Since then Lance put in the time and education for receiving his PGA Class A membership. Spending many years as a Head Golf Professional and Director of Instruction Lance has helped thousands of golfers from the complete beginner and junior golfer to the most advanced and touring golf professional.
As he has explained to many of his students,
“If I were going to take up snow skiing after 35 years since I last did so, would I really consider going without instruction?”

Too often I spend half to all of the first lesson with a student UNTEACHING bad habits. Many of the bad habits were taught by well-intentioned grandpas, uncles and the guy you met on the range that has been spending hours watching YouTube videos on his computer.

Maybe the problem with your golf swing isn’t you, but your golf clubs. If your strike is consistently off even though your swing is correct, you may be playing with a poorly fitted club.
A club that is too long or too short will result in the ball being hit in the wrong spot and resulting in hooking or slicing.
